Since 1985
Located in Lleida (Catalonia), the Alonso family became one of the pioneering companies in Spain in the common cane sector (Arundo Donax).
In 1985 he founded the company Cañizos Alpe S.L. Currently run by the second generation, continuing the family legacy.
We are specialised in music reeds, mainly saxophone, clarinet and oboe. Of which we have an annual production of 1.500.000 units. We travel all over Spain to obtain the best raw material, we carefully study the cutting areas (temperature and humidity) to obtain the highest quality of our product.
Given our great experience and the large supply of our raw material, we work every day to expand and open new frontiers. In this sense, we are currently working with several French companies to export our products.
We manufacture concealment reeds. Over the years, we have been evolving and introducing new weaving machinery, with which we can manufacture in a more sustainable way better concealment reeds and natural wicker from our own plantations.
We also manufacture plant stakes with the necessary sizes and gauges, stakes for supporting fruit and citrus trees, traditional palm brooms as well as canes for tomato and bean plants.
